The second race of the 1951 National Stock Car Series was held on April 1, 1951 at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The race comprised 300 laps around a 1/2 mile (.806km) dirt oval. Cameron Yost won his second consecutive race in dominant fashion; Yost lead all 300 laps and won by five laps over second-place Kelly Petersen.
In 1970, following the series' established race naming guidelines, this race was retroactively named the 1951 Round of Harrisburg.

The race covered three hundred laps around the 1/2 mile clay oval and took two hours, 26 minutes, and 18 seconds. Around 7,000 people are estimated to have attended.
Cameron Yost beat Kelly Petersen by five laps; other notable drivers in this race were Schuyler Stewart (3rd), James August (6th), Scott Duran (11th), Jimmy Stafford (14th), Peter Stafford (20th), Howard Joyce (23rd) and Amos Thompson (24th). Yost earned $2,600 (equivalent to around $25,565 in 2019); 20th place finisher Peter Stafford earned $32.50 (equivalent to $319) for his efforts.
