The 1984-1985 Pacific Championship was the inaugural season of the Pacific Stock Car Championship, often referred to by its shortened name, the Pacific Championship. The series raced primarily in Australia and New Zealand, with six of the ten races in Australia, three in New Zealand, and the season finale in Japan. It is notable for being the first major stock car racing season to be organized as a winter championship, a practice which continues to this day. It is also notable as the first season of a major stock car racing series to be focused on Asia and the Pacific.
