Islip Speedway was a .2-mile (320-meter) oval race track in Islip, New York which was open from 1947 until 1984. It is notable as the smallest track ever to host a World Stock Car Championship event, having hosted the Round of Long Island from 1953 until 1968. It is also notable as the first track to host a demolition derby, which it did in 1958. The speedway has since been demolished.
