The SC-4 Canadian Championship (Fr: Championnat Canadien SC-4) was a stock car racing championship run from 2013 until 2016 under the guidance of the World Stock Car Association and its affiliate, the Canadian Stock Car League (CSCL). It was preceded by the Canadian Stock Car Tour and succeeded by the split Eastern and Western championships.

History[edit | edit source]

In 2012, the World Stock Car Association unveiled the updated WSCC Global Pathway, intended to bridge the gap from junior series to international stock car racing; the first step was to create the developmental tier of stock car racing, which would be regionally focused to enable driver development.

The CSCL announced in June 2012 that the Canadian Stock Car Tour would be reformatted; its Junior Series would be split off and form the Canadian Junior Stock Car Challenge, while the main series would remain independent. The CJSCC was renamed to the SC-4 Canadian championship prior to the start of the 2013 season.

Honda was named the series' official partner in 2012.

Prior to the start of the 2016 season, series director Fredric Carpentier announced the series would split into Eastern and Western divisions, similar to the SC-4 United States championships, beginning with the 2017 racing season.
