The WSCC Canon is a fictional racing universe named after the highest-tier league, the World Stock Car Championship.
The canon consists of an organized hierarchy of what are known as "offline leagues"; races that take place amongst computer-controlled cars in sim racing games (mostly Papyrus' NASCAR Racing 2003 Season).
Current Leagues[edit | edit source]
- World Stock Car Championship
- World Stock Car Lites
- North American Stock Car Tour
- Eurocup
- Pacific Championship
- Stock Car E-Series
Mention-Only Leagues[edit | edit source]
SC-4 Series[edit | edit source]
SC-4 racing series are mention-only to allow them freedom to compete on tracks that either don't exist in real life, are not made for NR2003, or both.
Open-Wheel Series[edit | edit source]
Open-wheel leagues are currently mention-only due to how NR2003 handles (or, rather, doesn't) open wheel racing. These include:
Formula A[edit | edit source]
Formula A is the highest class of single-seater racing in the world; has its own hierarchy which includes Formula B, Formula Ford, Honda Formula Japan, and others. It is equivalent to the real-world Formula One. In canon, none of the existing teams on the real-world F1 grid exist, and are replaced by equivalent teams.
Champ Car[edit | edit source]
Champ Car is the equivalent of the current Indycar series and the former CART series. In canon, the open-wheel split in America never took place, and open-wheel racing is on par with stock car racing in terms of popularity. Several teams exist in both Champ Car and the World Championship in canon, but only their stock car operations will be shown.
