Winchester Speedway is a half-mile paved oval motor racetrack in White River Township, Randolph County, just outside Winchester, Indiana, approximately 90 miles (145 km) northeast of Indianapolis. It seats 4000 spectators. It is also known as the "World's Fastest 1/2 mile".
The track's 37 degree banking is one of the steepest in motorsports, and the highest-banked active racetrack in the country.
The track's signature event is the Winchester 400, an annual 400-lap super late model stock car race, currently sanctioned by the NASCT Late Model Super Series. The race was first held in 1970, and the first six races were held as part of the National Stock Car Series. It became an independent race in 1976, before becoming sanctioned by the North American Stock Car Tour in 2006.
