Scott Andrew Duran, Jr. (May 19, 1920 - September 5, 1994) was an American race car driver who competed in the World Stock Car Championship during the 1950's.

Personal Life[edit | edit source]
Duran was married twice; his first wife was Rita Johnson, with whom he had two children - Louise Georgia (born 1954) and William Franklin (born 1956). They were married from 1952 until 1960. He married his second wife, Vanessa Davis in 1963 and they had two children as well: Scott III (born 1964) and Jack Nolan (born 1967).
Duran was a lifelong heavy smoker and was diagnosed with lung cancer in 1992. He died at his home in Miami, Florida in 1994 from complications related to the disease.
