The SC-4 British-Irish Championship is a stock car racing championship run under the guidance of the World Stock Car Association and its affiliates, the British Stockcar Association (BSA) and Irish Racing Confederation (Gaelic: Cónaidhm Rásaíochta na hÉireann, CRE).

The British-Irish Championship is notable as the first SC-4 Championship series to have deviate from the strict three-race weekend format; the annual race at Snaefell is a single race, due to the length and nature of the track and the race's status as a support event for the Isle of Mann TT.

History[edit | edit source]

In 2012, the World Stock Car Association unveiled the updated WSCC Global Pathway, intended to bridge the gap from junior series to international stock car racing; the first step was to create the developmental tier of stock car racing, which would be regionally focused to enable driver development.

The SC-4 British-Irish Championship was announced in June 2012, with the first season scheduled to take place in 2014. Ford and Renault were announced as the official series partner in November of 2012; Ford has been the sole official partner since 2017. The series is unofficially referred to as the GBI Championship.
